The trucks are the easy part. Keeping the promise is the company.
Anyone can buy a truck. What separates a carrier is whether the load shows up clean, on time, every time, and whether you ever have to wonder where it is in between.
We started hauling dry van out of Elmhurst for Chicago-area manufacturers and distributors, and grew the only way a family company can: by hitting the window, picking up the phone and earning the next load. The Chicago-to-Texas corridor became our backbone, and a second yard in Dallas followed.
Along the way we built our own systems. GMAT.ONE, the TMS that runs dispatch, billing and tracking, was written in-house because nothing off the shelf let our customers see what our dispatchers see. The same thinking shaped how we hire: seven rounds of checks before a driver ever pulls a Goldmax load, and a culture that keeps them here six years and counting.
That is the company. The trucks are just how it touches the road.
