11. GMAT.ONE Driver Mobile App
Goldmax provides the GMAT.ONE Driver mobile app (the “Driver App”) to drivers who haul loads for Goldmax. This section explains what the Driver App collects and how that information is used. The rest of this Privacy Policy also applies.
Who Can Use the Driver App
Goldmax creates Driver App accounts for its drivers. The Driver App cannot be used to create an account. Anyone may download the Driver App, but only a driver with an account issued by Goldmax can sign in. A demonstration mode with sample data is available for app store review. The demonstration mode does not send any information to Goldmax.
Information the Driver App Collects
- Sign-in information: the username Goldmax assigns to you and your password. Your password is handled by our sign-in service provider. Goldmax does not see or store it.
- Sign-in records: when you sign in, the IP address used, and failed sign-in attempts.
- Load status updates: when you tap a status button (such as At pickup, Loaded, At delivery, or Unloading), the status, the load and stop it is for, and the time Goldmax received it.
- Delivery paperwork photos: the photos you take of signed delivery paperwork (proof of delivery), up to ten pages per delivery.
- Notification token: if you allow notifications, a token that lets Goldmax send notifications to your phone. Goldmax keeps tokens for up to five phones per driver.
What the Driver App Does Not Collect
- Location: the Driver App never asks for or collects your location. Location information is removed from delivery photos before they are stored.
- Your photo library, contacts, microphone, or files: the camera is used only to take delivery paperwork photos inside the Driver App.
- Device details: Goldmax does not collect your phone's model, operating system, or other device identifiers, other than the notification token described above. Our sign-in service provider may process technical information about a sign-in, such as the IP address and device type, to keep your account secure.
- Advertising, analytics, or tracking: the Driver App contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking tools, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
- Sensitive records: the Driver App does not collect or display your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license or CDL details, bank information, pay, or hours-of-service records. Goldmax collects some of this information through the separate processes described in Section 5.
How We Use Driver App Information
- To show you the loads assigned to you, including stop addresses, dates and times, reference numbers, and receiver contact details. You see only your own loads and stops. You never see freight rates or other drivers' information.
- To update the status of your loads for Goldmax dispatch. For example, tapping Loaded marks the load as picked up.
- To confirm delivery. When you submit delivery photos, an artificial intelligence service provider reads the paperwork, including the document type, reference numbers, signatures, dates, and noted damage, so that Goldmax can check that it matches the load. Only the photos are sent to that provider, not your name or the load number. When the check is not certain, Goldmax staff review the photos.
- To send you notifications, such as when a load is dispatched to you. Notifications show the load number, cities, and pickup or delivery time. They do not include freight rates or customer names.
- To bill for completed deliveries and keep shipping and billing records.
- To manage your account, keep the Driver App secure, and meet legal and regulatory obligations.
If you tap Navigate, the stop address opens in Google Maps, and Google's privacy policy applies to your use of Google Maps. If you tap Call receiver, your phone's dialer opens with the receiver's number.
Who Can See Driver App Information
- Goldmax staff who manage loads can see your status updates and their times, your delivery photos and their check results, whether your phone can receive notifications, and when you last signed in.
- Delivery paperwork may be shared with the customer, broker, or payment provider for that load as proof of delivery and for billing.
- Service providers that operate the Driver App for Goldmax: Clerk (sign-in), Anthropic (reading delivery paperwork), Expo together with Apple or Google, depending on your phone (notification delivery), and our cloud hosting provider. They may use the information only to provide their services to Goldmax.
How Long Driver App Information Is Kept
- Status updates and delivery photos become part of the load's shipping and billing records. They are kept as described in the Data Retention section, and they cannot be deleted from the Driver App.
- Notification tokens are deleted when you sign out, when the Driver App finds that notifications are turned off, when your password is changed, or when your account is deactivated.
- When you no longer drive for Goldmax, your Driver App account is deactivated and can no longer sign in.
Your Choices
- You can turn off notifications in your phone's settings at any time. Goldmax dispatch may then contact you by phone instead.
- The camera is needed only to take delivery photos. If you do not allow camera access, you cannot submit delivery photos in the Driver App.
- You can sign out at any time from the More screen. If you lose your phone, contact Goldmax, and we will sign out all of your phones.
- To ask about, correct, or delete your Driver App information, contact us using the information in the Contact Us section. Some records must be kept for legal, tax, insurance, safety, or contractual reasons.
